MEMBERS' EXPRESSIONS

Members Express What Compassionate Outreach Ministries Means To Them

Minister Gloria Bradley says, "I have been delivered from the spirit of low self-esteem. As a child... I didn't receive the love and attention that I so desperately needed... I began seeking love and attention in all the wrong places, but nothing filled this void in my life... Someone introduced me to Jesus...I felt a peace as never before. The enemy was still on my back and I faced several obstacles but I was still determined to make it. Although I was saved, I carried this torment for years, until I began to come to Compassionate...After being in this ministry, where the true Word of God is taught and demonstrated consistently by the anointed man of God, Pastor Larry J. Dennison, I know that if you will allow Jesus Christ to be Lord of your life, you will never be the same."
Deacon Gilford Carter testifies, "Before I became saved, I was one of the biggest sinners that there could ever be. I drank all the time, I was on drugs, and just doing everything that was against the Word of God. But it took the death of an old drinking partner to turn my life around. That same year, I was invited by my daughter and a friend, to come to Compassionate Outreach Ministries. Not many months afterwards, I got saved ... I thank God for Pastor and Sister Dennison who set a perfect example for us to follow. To God be the glory."
Sister Addie Davis states, "I was there from the beginning and I'm so thankful! When I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1965, I was told that God was able to keep you holy and you had to present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him. I believed the word of God. But as I continued to grow in God and traveled many places in the United States, I saw many people in high positions not living as they preached: Bishops, Elders, Mothers, Etc... My spirit was grieved for many years and I prayed for a change, not knowing that the change would come from God revealing Himself in the life of my brother, Elder, Dr. Larry J. Dennison...Lord, this ministry has truly been a blessing to me and I haven't regretted traveling from Winter Park, Florida Sunday after Sunday since 1985 and before. It is a pleasure to have a man of God live what he preaches. I would not travel and support the ministry if it was not ordained by God."
Sister Brenda Daniels says, "In January of 1991, God turned my life around. I was being destroyed by crack cocaine. The sin in my life kept me from being a mother to my children and a wife to my husband, most of all a servant to the most high GOD. I'm running for my life and every day with JESUS gets sweeter than the day before. It has been nine years since the Lord has delivered me. I give much thanks to Pastor Larry J. Dennison and Sister Margaret Dennison for the good example and inspiration that they have been for me and my family. And to Compassionate Outreach Ministries family, God Bless you and to God be the glory."
Brother Kenneth Daniels reveals,"I can truly say that God is a deliverer! I found it to be true in 1991 when he delivered me from a life of drugs. From powder cocaine to rock cocaine. I didn't have to go to rehabilitation. At Compassionate, I heard the powerful word of God through Pastor Larry J. Dennison. God has taken the taste out of my mouth. He has delivered me from all ungodliness. God has also given me back my wife and family. I am now a provider and not a destroyer. This is why I can truly say that the Lord is my deliverer."
Sister Jessie Farrow offers, "Compassionate means everything to me. I thank God for Compassionate. Before I found Compassionate, I was weary and very much weak. Compassionate means the world to me. It has given me knowledge and understanding through my walk with God. It has given me strength to be strong and steadfast while serving my Lord. It means being up under a wonderful leader. It has given me the chastisement that I need. Compassionate means learning the right way to walk and talk with God. Compassionate means everlasting love and joy to me. I have grown so much since I have been with Compassionate. Compassionate will always mean everything to me. I could go on explaining what Compassionate means to me, but words cannot express enough what Compassionate really means to me. The teaching I need under a true leadership. My home away from home. My bread when I'm hungry. My water when I'm thirty. A doctor when I am sick. Compassionate means peace within my soul. These are the things Compassionate means most to my family and me."
Sister Belinda Fox states, "Lord, I want to say thank you for freedom since 1990 - - no longer bound, no more chains holding me down. Lord, I want to say thank you for your deliverance, your power, and for filling me with your keeping power, the gift of the precious Holy Ghost. I give you all the honor, glory and praise. I am a living testimony; I'm not who I used to be."
Brother & Sister Frazier express, " We have been members of Compassionate Outreach Ministries since 1996. We knew that this was definitely the ministry for both of us. We do not know where we would be if it had not been for this great ministry. One Sunday, Pastor Dennison preached his heart out about how important it is to have a church home and from that day on, we have been members. We can truly say that we have grown in Christ and that our marriage has been enhanced. Pastor and First Lady Dennison have shown genuine love since the day that we met them. Words cannot express how much we love and appreciate them. We thank God for planting us in a ministry that has our best interest at heart. We know without a doubt that this man and woman of God practice what they preach. We are going to follow them as they follow Christ. We thank the Lord for allowing us to be a part of the Dennison family and the Compassionate Outreach Ministries Church family. May God continue to richly bless our Pastor and his beautiful family."
Sister Ericka Gilchrist states,"It is since I've been a member here at Compassionate that I've learned the importance of living a life that is holy and acceptable in God's sight. I thank God first and foremost for placing me here and I know that God.... put me here to receive the real spiritual food that my soul hungers for ...I believe that the most impressionable years of a person's life is childhood and with the leadership and chastising I receive from this ministry, I know that during my childhood walk with Christ, I will only grow to be strong in the Lord."

Minister Deborah Harden says, "Compassionate Outreach Ministries has been one of the greatest destinations on my spiritual journey...Upon meeting Pastor & Sister Dennison, I found them to be people of great love and integrity for God's Word and His people. In 1988, I became a member. As Pastor Dennison continued to minister the Word of God without compromise but with great compassion, God's purpose and directions for my life began to unfold. It was in the midst of the fiery furnace of affliction that God revealed to me that C.O.M. was a Spiritual Boot Camp that had been assigned to bring forth mighty soldiers for the Kingdom of God. Soldiers that are willing to tear down Satan's kingdom and rescue the very souls of the lost from the gates of Hell. A Boot Camp where God will bring forth spiritual strength, potential and stability in your life as He has so richly done in my life. A Boot Camp where there is a mighty exemplary Pastor that is God fearing, holy living, demon chasing, captive freeing, faith building, Word walking and a master soul recruiter for the Kingdom of God. Today, I am so grateful to God for His Servants, Pastor and Sister Dennison and for my Compassionate Family. For it was through the anointed, preached Word of God and the prayers of deliverance which penetrated my very soul that I have learned and chosen to be a capable and willing Soldier of the Cross and to live a life that is holy and acceptable unto God. Now, I reach out in love, to help and strengthen others for the Kingdom and Glory of God."

Minister Rutha Harrison declares, "In 1990, the Lord gave me the opportunity to live, not just to exist but to live! I was at a point in my life where it seemed everything was fine, but it wasn't... On June 29, 1990, I decided to do something about my situation... I cleaned up my house, loaded a gun, and decided to end my life. However, I couldn't stand the idea of someone else raising my children, so I was going to end their lives too. ... My mother had talked about her Pastor and how God had givenhim so much wisdom. So I decided to make an appointment to speak with him to see if he could help... As I spoke with the Pastor, I didn't want to tell him what was completely on my mind. I merely wanted to hear something to pacify me at the time, have a prayer and leave. My soul was troubled and God knew what to give the Pastor to say to me...I thank God, that as the Pastor was talking and praying the Holy Ghost was convicting my heart. I repented and rededicated my life to the Lord... I joined Compassionate Outreach Ministries, July 1990. Through the years I have seen my Pastor and First lady show what the family should be and how men and women can live a saved God-filled life. This great body of Christ has been a safe haven for me and my family."
Minister Sadie Holmes offers a poem: "When I first came to Compassionate Outreach Ministries, my life was a real mess. And now without saying, I'm better than blessed. When I came to this ministry, I was tormented and spiritually disturbed. Who would have believed that today I would be preaching and teaching God's Word. God had mercy on a backslidden prodigal such as me and through an anointed preacher, he spoke a word that set me free. The Lord later instructed me to join this church never had I experienced so much love and care, I was used to being treated like dirt as I continued to fellowship my children and I, it dawned on me one day God had heard and answered my heart's cry. He heard me when I said I needed a church home. A place where I could grow and never again roam, He heard me when I said I needed true leadership. A preacher that heard from the Lord not one who depended on gossip and often discussed discord, I needed a preacher, not in name. I needed a leader that was not out for gain. I needed godly order restored to my life I needed some one to direct me back to Jesus Christ. All this I found when I came To Compassionate Outreach Ministries and my life is not the same. The ministry is God sent, this ministry is true. I'm no longer treated like a ran over, tossed aside shoe. For there are no little I's and big You's. Needless to say my search is over I don't have to look any longer I thank God for placing me here at Compassionate Outreach Ministries. Following the cloud daily and growing stronger."
Brother & Sister Miller state, "In September 1998, we walked into Compassionate Outreach Ministries after the Lord showed it to us on T.V. We were amazed. Our Spirits said 'This is the place, this is your first church, first Pastor and first real family.' We never stopped going and we can say we never will. When Pastor spoke the Word of the Lord about getting rid of all the junk (music, etc.), we immediately went home and discarded it. Now it has been 7 years and 10 months since we got rid of the junk and it has been 7 years and 2 months since we have been saved, faithful members of Compassionate Outreach Ministries. We still love and respect our spiritual parents Dr. Larry & Sis Margaret Dennison and their 2 beautiful children. We are blessed to be here in Compassionate Outreach Ministries. We can't stop telling you how Pastor Dennison has helped us and still does. We love you Pastor & Sister Dennison & Family."
Elder Samuel Neal, III tells, "Since joining Compassionate Outreach Ministries in 1989, if I had to tell you in one word it's meaning to me it would be 'LIFE.' I was saved and working for the Lord but I came to know Christ in a greater way through the preaching and teaching of God's Word shared by Dr. Larry J. Dennison. I began to experience God's presence and power working in my life as never before helping me to become the person/preacher that God would be pleased with. I know that if it wasn't for God placing me under the leadership of Pastor and Sister Dennison, my life, marriage, and home wouldn't be as blessed as it is today and I am yet striving for new and great things in Christ Jesus."
Brother Quincy Osborne expresses, "I have been blessed to see and to take part  in the birth of Compassionate Outreach Ministries. Indeed, if  it was not for this ministry and the  people we have come to know here, my wife and I very well might not be residing in this area.  With my growing up in South Florida and with my mother and other relatives residing in South Florida, I had several reasons to return there, especially after meeting my wife down there. However, both my wife and I can truly say that being a part of Compassionate Outreach Ministries is a joyous journey that we both love to travel on. Not being at Compassionate Outreach would cause us to feel that we would be missing out for our lives. Compassionate Outreach Ministries is a place  that we can call home."
Sister Naima Prince says "I am eternally grateful for Pastor & Sister Dennison because they have provided me with my first and only church home. Compassionate Outreach Ministries is the place where I first heard the word of God, accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of my life, was delivered from a multitude of sinful habits, and experienced baptism in the Holy Spirit. It was here that I learned about developing a personal relationship with God, living a life of holiness, and giving God all the glory. As a member of Compassionate Outreach Ministries, I discovered my purpose in life and I learned about my Christian duties to read, pray, praise, tithe, love and serve. Here, I have also had the opportunity to use the gifts and talents that God has blessed me with and I am constantly encouraged to grow higher and stronger in the Lord. I thank God daily for Compassionate Outreach Ministries."
Sister Kathy Robinson states, "What Compassionate Outreach Ministries means to me is hope for the lost spirit, mind, body and soul. I came from a loving Christian home and being at Compassionate was like being home with my parents again. I came to visit the church for the first time on September 7, 2000. When I came, I was broken-hearted, bitter and filled with pride. It was like Pastor Dennison picked right up on what was going on in my life because he preached about everything that was going on in my life. My life then began to come together. I was delivered from it all and became very strong. Today, I am no longer bound. My marriage was restored. When I look back over my life, it brings tears to my eyes to see the good works that God has done in my spirit, soul and life through this great man and woman of God. To God be the Glory! If it had not been for what God is doing at Compassionate, my husband and I would not be where we are in life today.
Sister Maxine Rutledge says, "Since I've become a member here at Compassionate, I've really been blessed in my spiritual life as well as my natural life. From the outward love and caring from the Pastor's wife, to the inspirational Word of God coming from the Pastor, God has richly blessed my soul. The fellowship here with the members also means a lot to me."

Sister Roschella M. Rutledge explains " In 1999, Pastor Dennison preached a life-changing, life-giving message. These words "You shall live and not die..." pierced the core of my soul. Prior to this message, my soul was dying and needed reviving. My soul was wrapped up with depression, rejection, bitterness, childhood hurts and the list goes on. BUT, I thank God for planting me in Compassionate Outreach Ministries, where I have received deliverance and healing: FREEDOM from what had me bound. It was here that I experienced and received God's love.

The love demonstrated by Pastor & Sister Dennison and through the word of God is what changed my life. Now, I know the true meaning of love - Jesus Christ. You can be changed too if you surrender everything to Jesus Christ, accept His love and make Him the head of your life.

Now these are the BEST days of my life and I am living now.

Sister Glenda Sawyer reports, "I've been a member at Compassionate since 1997 now and I  have never regretted one day what God did... Since joining this ministry, some members of my family have given their lives to the Lord and have also become members of this great and wonderful ministry. Most importantly, this ministry has an awesome leader and teacher, a truly anointed man of God (Pastor Larry Dennison) who brings forth the truly anointed word of God that I know without a doubt God gives him. I've grown spiritually and yokes have been destroyed. I could not imagine being anywhere else but here. If I were not under the teaching at Compassionate Outreach Ministries, I am sure that I would be blind and lost, living the life of a hypocrite, thinking and confessing that I am saved when not living a life of Christ. I thank God for what I have learned and for what God has done in my life since being here under the teaching and leadership of Pastor Dennison. I also thank God for his anointing in my life, for knowing what it means to have a true relationship with God, and having Him be the head of my life and guiding my footsteps. Compassionate Outreach Ministries is truly a 'life saving' ministry."
